Container ship Mumbai Maersk (IMO: 9780471) ran aground off the German island of Wangerooge in the North Sea around 11 PM on Feb 2.

The 20,000 TEU Denmark-flagged ship was on its way to the north-western German port city of Bremerhaven, after setting sail from Rotterdam when it ran aground.
At least 5 tugs and salvors teams were responding to the scene of the accident, but reportedly, a first attempt to tow the 400-meter vessel back into deep waters have been unsuccessful. As of the morning of Feb 3, the ship was still aground.
