MSC Announces a New Service and Revamps Two of its Existing Services on the Transpacific Network

Shipping Line MSC, to cater to market demand, has announced its new Asia-US Gulf Coast & South Atlantic Service called Zephyr. MSC has also announced revamping its existing Santana and Sentosa services on their Asia-US network, which connects China and U.S., starting in July.

Zephyr Service

With the new weekly service, MSC can offer direct connections from northern China and South Korea to the U.S. Gulf Coast. It includes a direct call to Port Everglades, served only via a transshipment so far.

The first sailing on this service will be of MSC Bremen, voyage 229A, ETD Shanghai on 20 July 2022 with the following port rotation: Shanghai – Ningbo – Busan – Cristobal – Houston – Port Everglades – Savannah – Lazaro Cardenas – Shanghai

The service commencement from mid-July is subject to regulatory approval.

Santana Service

Along with a direct port call at Da Chan Bay, this service revamping will include calls at Baltimore and Boston. Da Chan Bay and Boston will be direct calls from Asia to USEC

The first sailing will be by MSC ELLEN, voyage 228A, ETD Haiphong on 15 July 2022 with the following port rotation: Haiphong – Da Chan Bay – Shanghai – Busan – Panama Canal – Charleston – Baltimore – New York – Boston – Suez Canal – Singapore – Haiphong

Sentosa Service

This service will now include two calls at Da Chan Bay and Shekou in its port rotation to increase the network coverage in China. 

The first sailing will be by CONTI CHIVALRY, voyage 225A, with ETD Singapore on 5 July 2022 with the following port rotation: Port Klang – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Laem Chabang – Vung Tau – Da Chan Bay – Shekou – Long Beach – Oakland – Vung Tau
