MSC has announced upcoming changes concerning their ongoing strategic cooperation with SM LINE on the Transpacific trade.

The slot swapping agreement between SM LINE and the 2M alliance partners on Asia to USA West Coast services will end effective May 8, 2022.

Therefore, MSC will cease the slot agreement with SM Line termed the Rose service, and subsequently, all current services covered by MSC, and those of the 2M network, will offer alternative coverage.

MSC has also notified that they will continue to offer Vancouver through their Eagle, Maple, and Chinook services. While MSC’s Chinook service will cover Seattle, the standalone Mustang service will cover their exclusive Portland call.
