CMA CGM’s AMERIGO Service to Temporarily call Charleston instead of Savannah due to Port Congestion

  CMA CGM Medea 04

CMA CGM announced last week that its AMERIGO service that connects West Mediterranean to the U.S. East Coast would stop calling the port of Savannah due to severe congestion.

Though temporary, this move has been made to protect schedule integrity & maintain the weekly sailing frequency as Savannah is facing severe congestion, averaging 8-10 days currently.

The AMERIGO Service will be calling the port of Charleston instead, and all Savannah shipments will be redirected accordingly.

The updated port call is scheduled to begin with m/v CMA CGM LA TRAVIATA voy. 0MR9TW1MA having an ETA of October 31st, 2021 at Algeciras and an ETA of November 27th, 2021 at Charleston.

Additionally, replicating the current Savannah berth window, Charleston’s Wando Welch Terminal (WWT) will be called on Saturdays.
