Hapag-Lloyd Launches brand weekly, new China-Germany Express (CGX) Service

From the beginning of April 2022, Hapag-Lloyd will launch their brand new China Germany Express (CGX) service, a weekly, two-port loop product connecting the South of China with the North of Europe.

The carrier has designed a service that responds to the current industry challenges by reducing complexities and expanding network opportunities for their customer’s business.

Below is a list of advantages that the customers will have with the CGX service:

  • A direct connection between China and Germany with a 27-day transit time
  • Realistic schedule reliability
  • Freedom to select preferred dates with regular weekly departures
  • Access to intermodal capabilities at Dachan Bay, China, and Hamburg, Germany
  • Access to the gateway to Eastern and Central European Markets

The CGX service will operate with eight Panamax vessels. The service will replace their existing Far East Loop 6, 7, and 8 services from the day it gets launched, resulting in a seamless transition to enable long-term cargo planning.
