Every major shift in human history demanded a new way to move things.

Twelve thousand years of evidence makes the case better than anything I could say.

Plenty of people look at history and see empires, inventions, and revolutions. What I see is a supply chain problem getting solved at a larger scale each time. 

Agriculture created surplus, and surplus demanded logistics. Every breakthrough in navigation, communication, and infrastructure that followed was really an answer to the same question: how do we move more, further, faster, and with less friction?

The pattern has never changed. The scale of it has.What’s happening right now fits that same pattern, and the implications are significant.
